Kiara's Cake Smash
For Kiara's first birthday, we didn't have a party, we just had a cake smash session and took her to Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA. She enjoyed both very much. This post will just show the setup and the color variations I chose. We did two different backgrounds, each with it's own outfit.
Item Descriptions
Both her outfits were from The Children's Place, I spent under $35 for the 4 pieces
Pink converse were a christmas gift
Both cakes were from Albertson's (sister bought them)
Both balloon bouquets were from Party City (sister bought them)
Location: Rancho Santa Margarita Lake
Giraffe was actually a favor from my babyshower
"ONE" letters were free from a local FB group I'm in
Blanket was a given to me as a gift
Photographer- Lauren Stockton
Our photographer was LOVELY, she was super patient and really did have an eye for capturing it ALL. I was super happy with her services that I will be teaming up with her for my Maternity pictures and future cake smash sessions. She is based in Southern California and I recommend you to check out her work here, Lauren Stockton, for all your special events coming up.

she is just adorable! and these were the cutest pictures ever!
ReplyDeletei love how you didnt have a party - why does a one year old need on anyways??? just spending time together is enough !
Thank you!!! We did it for her comfort, since they tend to get tired of so many people wanting to hold them, pictures, trying to stay awake through it all, etc. Yes, time together works for me.
DeleteHow sweet! Smash cakes are always tons of fun for the littles. I mean for once they can play with their food and not get in trouble! Just precious
ReplyDeleteSo sweet ! We did a smash cake session as part of my babys first birthday this upcoming week & she did not dig in as I thought lol. She looked kind of afraid of it lol
ReplyDeleteI would love to see pictures, Kiara was the same with the second cake. I think she didn't know how to react to the sprinkles falling.
DeleteWhat a great photo shoot! I miss doing cake smashes with clients ... but what a mess they were to clean up lol
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to the after math lol
DeleteThese are absolutely adorable photos! I especially love the cake - those roses make it so feminine and perfect. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThank you, my sister picked out the cakes and did a great job!
